So for months now, you've been sending in your favorite Switchfoot memories, or favorite stories from when you met the guys, or first hear their music, or anything memorable to you. Jeanna had made a good point earlier this week, that some of you, though you might have met them, may not necessarily have a share-worthy story (though i'm sure all are!). So, the Switchfoot memory of the week will still continue, so send them in, but I'm also adding in a new section, showcasing a fan photo of the week. Met the band but don't feel the need to share your story? Then share your picture with the guys! Send them on it to me at lisa@landofbrokenhearts.org with a short description of when and where it was taken and I'll share it with everyone in this column! Our first entry was sent in by Brooke:

I won a meet & greet with 98.7 to hear a few songs from Switchfoot, with a view from the ocean! It was so pretty, and they nailed the songs. : )
The US Open show was amazing, they played so many songs, I loved it! One of my favorite shows.
I had an embarrassing moment though, while in the elevator with Jon and Drew, someone called me, and my ringtone is Stars. I quickly stopped it, but I couldn't stop laughing. I'm pretty sure they both heard it since I was standing right next to them. Haha! -Brooke

There was a lack of entries this week so if you'd like to share your photos, graphics, Switchfoot memories or fan photos, send them to lisa@landofbrokenhearts.org! See you next week!

The Baltimore Sun posted a review of the Goo Dolls/Switchfoot show and had great things to say about the guys set:
Unexpected for me was Switchfoot. I honestly didn’t know a lot about the band and someone had told me going in that I'd recognize two or three songs. The band from San Diego, Calif., was terrific. The group played for 45 minutes and continued the strong pace set by The Spill Canvas. One highlight from Switchfoot was its cover of Tom Petty’s "I Won’t Back Down." It sounded even better than Petty, and the group rocked it out.

Killer, killer sets.

We've got a video of "Thrive" from Jon's solo show for you. I like this performance, though it's more subdued than the other one... that could of had something to do with Jon's voice however, he's sounding a bit hoarse (which is understandable, looking at the sheer number of shows and performances he's been doing lately.)

Another view of the same performance: THRIVE

Here's a video from a recent radio appearance!:

Jon & Drew at Mix 107.3 in Washington! Interview and performance clips:

Annnnndddd here's a video of Against the Voices from Jon's recent aftershow in Baltimore:

Switchfoot is featured in a recent issue of the UK based BLACK VELVET magazine.

Switchfoot’s Jon and Tim Foreman and Chad Butler tells Black Velvet how they feel they’ve never fitted in as a band, how the moment you’re trendy you know you’ve got a shelf life, how the music industry is full of addiction of various kinds and how John M. Perkins is an inspiration for having a voice of love that broke the cycle of violence and hate.
The magazine is available online, but you do have to buy it first to read the article. To purchase, click HERE!

This might be the last batch of Bro-Am photos till next year so DO enjoy! Our talented friend HERE.
