More new shows? You bet. The guys just tweeted the info for an upcoming festival called the Hangout Music Fest. The festival will be held May 18th – 20th at Gulf Shores, Alabama. For more info and tickets, click HERE.

Switchfoot, Newsboys, Casting Crowns and Steven Curtis Chapman will be the headlining acts for the 14th annual Lifest Christian music festival July 11-15 in Oshkosh.

The festival, held at the Sunnyview Expo Center, kicks off July 11 with Grammy Award winners Switchfoot on the grandstand, with support from Brian “Head” Welch, the Whosoevers, Downhere and Danen Kane.

Switchfoot has been confirmed for the Rock the Desert festival in Texas!:

Grammy Award-winning band Switchfoot will join Tim Tebow for an event in Midland scheduled for April 22, officials with Rock the Desert confirmed Monday afternoon.

Another band also has been invited to perform at the event, which will take place at Grande Communications Stadium but has not yet been confirmed, according to Rock the Desert officials. On Monday, festival representatives asked followers for feedback via their Twitter account about adding contemporary Christian artist Jimmy Needham and Christian rapper Trip Lee to the lineup.

Switchfoot won a 2011 Grammy for Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album with the album “Hello Hurricane.” Their most recent record, “Vice Verses,” earned the No. 8 spot on the Billboard 200 when it was released in September 2011.

Tebow’s appearance at the event was confirmed last week by Rock the Desert officials on its official Twitter page. The Denver Broncos quarterback, who openly shares his Christian faith during interviews and at schools and churches around the nation, is scheduled to appear April 23 at a fundraiser for Trinity Christian School at Lubbock Memorial Civic Center. That event will include a reception and autograph session, according to Lubbock Avalanche-Journal website.

Details about tickets for the event had not been released as of press time Monday.
